AUXDECK DOCS
Set up once. Keep it local.
Install the desktop app, pair your phone, then choose what the phone should become.
Quick start
- Install AuxDeck Desktop on your computer.
- Open AuxDeck on your phone.
- Tap Scan and point the phone at the desktop QR code.
- Keep both devices on the same local network.
The QR code in Desktop Settings stays available so another phone can pair or this phone can switch computers.
Windows
- Run the x64 installer and approve the administrator prompt.
- Allow AuxDeck on private networks.
- Leave AuxDeck running in the system tray.
The package includes the Windows agent and virtual camera. If camera registration fails on a normal Windows installation, setup reports an error instead of hiding it.
macOS
- Move AuxDeck Desktop to Applications.
- Allow Accessibility for keyboard and pointer control.
- Allow Screen Recording when using the temporary display.
AuxDeck checks permissions quietly. It opens System Settings only when you choose to grant a missing permission.
Phone setup
- Home and Settings stay in portrait for a consistent layout.
- Work screens can follow the device or stay locked to portrait or landscape.
- Use Switch computer in Settings to scan a different desktop.
- English, Chinese, French, and Spanish are available on this website. Mobile language support is being expanded carefully.
Computer status
The default frame-rate widget shows the active display refresh rate during normal desktop use. When a full-screen app is active and PresentMon has valid frames, it shows that app's measured FPS.
- Screen rate
- Display refresh rate, or full-screen app FPS when available.
- App FPS
- A separate optional component for the foreground application.
- Unavailable
- Shown when a real source cannot be measured. AuxDeck does not invent a value.
Controls and macros
Build pages from media, system, OBS, Codex, touch, and phone tools. Use macros only when an action needs multiple steps, timing, conditions, or repetition.
- Editing an official page creates a user copy.
- Names you enter are preserved and never translated automatically.
- Approved scripts and local plug-ins stay under desktop control.
Studio
Camera and microphone start as one session. Add the teleprompter when needed, or open Program return and tally for an OBS workflow.
- Choose Camera & microphone in Studio.
- Select AuxDeck Camera or Microphone in OBS, Zoom, or another desktop app.
- Keep AuxDeck in the foreground while sending media.
Temporary display
The computer picture keeps a 16:9 area. Touch controls and named keys sit beside it instead of covering the image. Screen Recording permission is required on macOS.
Troubleshooting
- Phone cannot connect
- Confirm both devices use the same network, reopen the desktop QR code, and pair again.
- Android will not install
- Allow Install via USB or approve the system package installer. Xiaomi devices may require one manual confirmation.
- Camera is missing
- Restart the desktop app after installing the virtual device, then reopen OBS or Zoom.
- Frame rate looks wrong
- Check whether the widget is Screen rate or App FPS. They measure different things.
Privacy
Pairing credentials stay in operating-system secure storage. Control traffic remains on the local network. Camera, microphone, screen, and accessibility access are used only for features you start or configure.
